Hello Beautiful People,
I told you there was a celebrity who ended up with an Angel Story plaque of mine. Some of you know The Angel Story, but I’m going to tell the story for those who don’t.
The Angel Story
I waited years before jumping on the digital camera bandwagon. In early 2005, I decided to go to the coast of California to visit a friend and spend a week getting familiar with my new camera. On my first beach walk, I glanced over at the retaining wall overlooking the Pacific Ocean and saw angels. I was sure this image had been painted on the wall. Upon closer examination, I realized these angels were a naturally occurring breathtaking sight. The angels were actually formed by whatever was coming out of the drainpipes. What I didn’t understand was why a shrine wasn’t built at the foot of this amazing place, so I think another California pilgrimage is in order, candles and flowers in tow. May these angels watch over you.
The Pilgrimage
In January 2007, a friend and I boarded a plane in Tallahassee, Florida, to go visit the angels. We arrived at our hotel after dark, and I realized I had booked our room, a spectacular glass haven hanging over the Pacific, a stone’s throw from the angels. We immediately went out to see the angels by moonlight. My heart beat in double time as we got close to them. I had imagined over the past two years that the angels would remain the same as I saw them as I first saw them. Not so. In the moonlight, we saw a huge protrusion on one of the angels. Over the next week, we sat in our glass room and enjoyed the amazing changes the Pacific Coast had to offer. We realized the surf was the best right in front of our room, and the angels were watching over the surfers. We visited the angels often, bringing flowers and candles. The angels teach many lessons…pay attention to what is around you, nothing is constant but change, and most importantly, angels are everywhere.
Over a decade ago, a friend named Eddie fell in love with the angel photo. He also loved Marie Osmond and frequented her concerts whenever possible. Eddie purchased an angel plaque to give to Ms. Osmond. All these years later, he was able to deliver it to her after one of her concerts. This photo has been purchased and gifted to people all over the world. May the angels watch over us and protect our human journey! |
