| Let It Be EASY – Even When Mind Chatter is Making it More Difficult than it Needs to Be This weekend, I’m taking a step that has been quietly waiting its turn: I’m doing my first book signing. My book was birthed a year and a half ago. And while I imagined momentum immediately following the launch, life had other ideas. Shortly after coming home from visiting my friend in Kauai, St. Pete was hit by two hurricanes. One completely trashed our coop art gallery and one got my condo. It took months to recover. Then I had a hip replacement, launched a co-authored book and am happily finishing up creating three online classes. Instead of moving quickly outward after my book launch, I found myself moving inward—building, listening, healing, creating and taking some much needed rest. Somewhere along the way, I realized this time wasn’t a delay…it was simply life unfolding. We get to choose how we react to life’s unfolding mystery. I try to refrain from the self-judgement of not “doing enough” and find the perfect marriage between doing and being. It’s a daily practice..lol. Trust that no matter how life unfolds, small steps create forward momentum, although they rarely feel dramatic in the moment. But taken consistently—and with kindness—they still carry us to the finish line. And as always… May you savor what supports you. May you release what weighs you down. May you step into ease — it’s always there…waiting patiently for you to embrace. If you live here, I hope to see you this weekend. Big love to all of you. Thanks so much for being here, e’Layne 1 Practice to Tune into Your Body Place a hand on your heart and take one slow, steady breath. As you exhale, gently ask your body: “What feels true for me right now?” Notice any sensations—warmth, ease, tightness, or softness—without needing to change them. Let your body remind you that it has its own timing… and it knows. 2 Shifts to Observe the Mind…with curiosity and an open heart. Go from “I should be further along” → to “I am exactly where I’m meant to be.” Notice how often the mind measures progress instead of trusting it. Go from urgency → to ease. Gently observe the stories that say you must hurry. You don’t have to push tomorrow into today. 3 Quotes and a Question to Awaken the Soul “Small steps, taken with love, still change everything.” “What unfolds slowly often lasts longer.” “You are not behind — you are becoming.” And drumroll…the Question Where in my life can I soften my grip on the timeline and trust the steady steps I’ve already taken? xoxoox…e’Layne _______________________________________________ If you practice one of my suggestions, please let me know the outcome. If you’ve read my book, I’d love to receive any feedback, and an Amazon review would make my heart sing and help get my book into the hands of more people. Additionally, I’ll be setting up a private Facebook page for students who take my classes, which will be a great place for a “face-to-face” conversation. xoxoxo The easiest way to reach me is artbyelayne@gmail.com. If you’ve purchased my book and haven’t left a review, I would really appreciate it if you would…Amazon puts books in front of more people based on reviews, e’ xooxo |
