The picture above is a class I’m filming today…Wise Women Memory Keepers. I will also be launching “I AM” Cards – Arty Affirmation Reminders to Release Limiting Thoughts and Behaviors. Both of these projects help us change the beliefs and behaviors that weigh us down…so we can be light, creative, and happy in this world that is filled with challenges. Looking at What’s in Your Wagon Remember pulling a wagon or tying one on the back of your bike and filling it with treasures. We all still pull around wagons, but they aren’t necessarily filled with treasure. More often than not, they are filled with lead, things that don’t light us up and feed our soul. These pieces of lead can be too much stuff that clutters our life, too many obligations…saying, yes I can do that when I wanted to say no. They could be friends who take more than they give, not necessarily in a material sense, but in terms of energy exchange. We are brought up people pleasers. It’s primal and dates back to our primitive ancestry, wired in our survival mechanism. Basically, we don’t want to get kicked out of the tribe, because if we do, we are left on our own in the wilderness to die. Consequently, we learn to make nice and not rock the boat. And in that making niceness, we often stuff our words, overlook our needs, dim our light, and give up little parts of ourselves… sometimes big parts of ourselves. What to do??? Read over this list and name what is too heavy to lug around anymore. Daily Things That Weigh Us Down Negative Self-Talk: Constantly criticizing ourselves or doubting our abilities can be draining. Toxic Relationships: Being around people who are consistently negative or unsupportive. Overcommitment: Taking on too many responsibilities without time for self-care. Lack of Boundaries: Allowing others to dictate our time and energy. Unresolved Emotions: Holding onto anger, resentment, or guilt without processing them. Cluttered Environment: Physical clutter can lead to mental clutter and stress. Digital Overload: Excessive time on social media or consuming negative news. 1 Practice to Tune into Your Body Throughout the day tune into your body and look for these signs of an overloaded wagon. Physical Signs: Feeling tired, stressed, or having frequent headaches. Emotional Indicators: Experiencing irritability, anxiety, or a sense of overwhelm. Behavioral Cues: Procrastination, avoidance, or withdrawal from activities and people. 2 Shifts to Observe the Mind…with curiosity and an open heart Pay attention to when you are about to say “yes” to a committment…ask yourself, “Do I really want to say yes”? When you hear yourself think or say outload negative things about yourself, stop…and say the opposite. 3 Quotes and a Question to Awaken the Soul “Whatever you are not changing, you are choosing.” – Laurie Buchanan “Your mind is a magnet. Make sure it attracts what lifts you up, not weighs you down.” – Unknown “The longer you stay on the wrong train, the more expensive it is to get home” – Unknown And drumroll…the Question What is the one thing on the above list that would feel wonderful to change? Can you think of one small step to move in that direction and do it? If you practice one of my suggestions, please let me know the outcome. If you’ve read my book, I’d love any feedback and an Amazon review would make my heart sing and get my book out to more people. Also, I’ll be setting up a private Facebook page for people who take my classes, so that will be a great place to have a “face to face” conversation. xoxoxo The easiest way to reach me is artbyelayne@gmail.com. Big love to all of you. Thanks so much for being here, e’Layne To buy my #1 Amazon Bestselling book, click on the picture of my book below.
